The Time is Ripe for Renaissance

And we were born to bring it.

History has seen an endless slew of revolutions, but I know only two acknowledged times of Renaissance. Noting these, I see a pattern that must soon repeat. I was born to bring it on, but first, I’ll point it out.

Dark Age + Plague = Renaissance

In the 1300s, it was the literal Dark Ages that ended up capped off by the virulent Black Plague. As this plague at last abated around 1350, we saw the start of the world-renowned Italian Renaissance.

Much later, in the 1900s, we saw a sort of dark age in the form of what they called back then “the war to end all wars.” This preceded the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, followed by what? The Harlem Renaissance and Roaring Twenties.

The turn of the millennium will no doubt be remembered as an age when mass deception plunged our planet into peril. Many are already calling this the new Dark Age, so what else could have capped it off but yet another plague?

When a dark age breeds a plague, Renaissance arises. I was born to bring it on, but first, I’ll paint it up.
